Before joining CAP Tulsa, Kristina Ellis was an education leader in two of the most extensive YMCA programs in Oklahoma for more than seven years.
I'm Judy Whitesell. I was born and educated in Florida before marrying and moving to South Carolina. I've been a member of SECA/SCECA for 24 years and active in the leadership of both organizations. I served on the SECA board of directors for 6 years and secretary for the last 3 years. In our state organization, I served many offices including President and I'm currently the meeting planner. As meeting planner, I have worked for the last 9 years recruiting, organizing, and scheduling over 160 sessions for our annual conference of 1500+ attendees. I am responsible to maintain contact with all presenters to answer questions and organize their needs (AV, room set-ups, and otherwise). I also work with our state’s executive director on all budget items with hotel/convention center personnel prior to conference. During the week of conference, I check with each presenter prior to his/her session, work out AV issues, and serve as a liaison to hotel/conference staff to make decisions pertinent to conference. After conference, I assimilate the evaluations and report to the SCECA board. I also contact the presenters to thank them and relay comments from the evaluations as well.
